Behind Her Eyes ***

Limited Series: 6 Episodes

Watched On: #Netflix

Language: English

Genre: Twisted (not for kids)

I was looking to watch something completely different, but I started this because the description was intriguing. I must admit, I must have missed the part where it said it was a series and began watching it thinking it was a movie. As it panned out and took a while to build up, I realized this was going to make me binge-watch.

The casting is picture-perfect. Eve Hewson plays Adele, the rich, neglected wife, and she truly looks the part of a damsel in distress. I must admit, I fell in love with the name Adele. Simona Brown did a great job as Louise, the other woman. She captures the confusion and inner conflict of knowing she’s wrong but justifying her actions and trying to do something right in parallel. Confused? Don’t be. Watch it to understand better.

Then there's Dr. David Ferguson, played by Tom Bateman. His perfect face keeps you guessing whether he's the hero or the villain every half an episode. And, of course, there's Rob, played by Robert Aramayo. You might think he's not important at first, but you have to watch till the end to see just how crucial Rob is.

The performances are great, and there are no dull moments. You get hooked on the characters. However, DO NOT WATCH IT with your kids, as it contains scenes and content that are definitely not kid-friendly.

It's exciting to see where the storyline is heading, and if you watch with the kind of attention I do, you'll figure out the twist before it happens. While the cast looked and played their parts well, their characters lacked defined personalities. They were intelligent and stupid at the same time.

Be open to something inexplicable, as you’ll hear a voice in your head saying aloud, "Chhey, aesa thodi ho sakta hain."
