I just met the Owner of Saki Naka and found out that I owned Lower Oshiwara!
While I was waiting at the Lower Oshiwara Metro Station I met the owner of Saki Naka. Yes, the owner of Saki Naka. And it's a woman. More power to woman! Yuhooo...
She came to me and insisted on speaking to me, asking which train should she take to get to Andheri. She threw me off track cause I was busy discovering New Music on #Spotify. But she was so intimidating that I went blank.
Then she kind of mocked me saying that, "main pehli baar jaa rahi hoon yahan se is liye poocha". Then she went onto say, " mere paas Metro ka Pass hain". As if I wanted to know. Then she got agitated saying, "aap ka Metro aesa kyun hai."
Mind you all this while I am still trying to figure which train should she take. She told me she wants to go to Andheri. Technically Oshiwara is Andheri. I tried to get an exact location... she said to Saki Naka. Then I was in a zone trying to figure if she takes either side of the train.... she is going to take a trip down Mumbai by going to Andheri West then to Saki Naka or to Gundavali via Dahisar and then to Saki Naka. While I was doing all of this Math in my head and trying to figure her travel route I heard her get more agitated as she complained... "aapka Metro aesa kyun hain? Mera aesa nahi hai." Okay... I thought... maybe she was talking about Calcutta or Delhi or Dubai!! And I asked, "kaise hai aapka Metro aur kahan hai."
She said, "Mere Saki Naka mein aese nahi hain." I am sure she was unable to read my obvious facial gestures. So I asked "aapke sakinaka mein kaise hai phir?" She said, "aesa lock nahi hai sab khula hain. Ye aesa kyun hai. Alag kyun hai. Waise kyun nahi hai?"
Now, I was confused whether she is talking about local train or Metro! She was really pissed... I assured her it is safe to have locked doors before entering. Then she kept saying, "Lekin mere Saki Naka mein aesa nahi hain" I was tongue tied for the first time. Here was an agitated person talking to a person who is not responsible for it at all. But as a Mumbaikar of the Suburbs I apologised to her and said, "Sorry lekin maine dono Metro nahi banaya." I think she got the point then I pointed to the official on the platform and said, "aapka complain voh tie wale ke paas le jayiye."
Seeing her walk away made me so happy. But for a moment she did make me feel responsible for it. DAMN! Aesa wala confidence apun ko bhi chahiye. Bye bye owner of Saki Naka.
